Small Dances '08 - Call for Submissions

Kenrick H20 Sandy in Mad World as part of Small Dances 2007

Small Dances is an evening of professional work inspired by the theme of a ‘small dance’. We held our first event as part of Big Dance 2006 and a second event to celebrate our 20th anniversary in March 2007. We are pleased to announce the third Small Dances event will take place as part of Big Dance 2008 on Saturday 12 July. We are opening out the event to invite submissions from artists

The Work

The event will feature work that responds to the idea of a ‘small dance’. You can submit a new idea that hasn’t yet been created, or pitch an existing piece of work that you feel responds to the theme.

The Artists

Small Dances offers a showcase opportunity for experienced dancers and choreographers as well as emerging artists that are ready to take the next step.

The Practicalities

The event will take place on Saturday 12 July 08 at 8pm at Stratford Circus. You must be available all day on this date. Some technical rehearsals will also take place on Friday 11 July.
If successful East London Dance will negotiate the time limit for your work, however we anticipate that work will be no longer than 10 minutes.
If successful East London Dance will negotiate a fee or expense payment based on your level of experience.

Friday 16 May 08. East London Dance will be in touch following this date to either:
