Shortlist Announced for the Dance Enterprise Ideas Fund
10 March 2016
The Dance Enterprise Ideas Fund offers dance creatives the chance to pitch for £5,000 plus mentoring support to research, test, or launch new artistic and entrepreneurial ideas.
As part of the Dance Enterprise Hub we have put together a consortium of partners who include some of the UK’s and east London’s leading creative organisations: Canary Wharf Arts + Events, East London Dance, English National Ballet, redbridge Drama Centre, Rich Mix and Sadler’s Wells.
We had an amazing number of applications for the Dance Enterprise Ideas Fund, receiving almost 90 applications. We were incredibly impressed with the calibre and variety of ideas submitted and it was a very tough selection process.
We are delighted to announce the shortlisted artists invited to pitch their ideas to the Dance Enterprise Ideas Fund panel on Monday 21 March at the Dance Enterprise Ideas Summit:
Cherrie Cheok Leng Lau
There was such a wealth of great applications and we are disappointed we can’t see everyone, so we also want to highly commend the following applicants:
We can’t wait to see the pitches live at the Dance Enterprise Ideas Summit on Monday 21 March. The event will bring together artists, producers, venues and organisations from east London and beyond to share and exchange enterprise ideas in dance, and explore how we create a more entrepreneurial and resilient dance sector. We hope you can join us!
