Welcome

For over three decades East London Dance has been dedicated to championing and serving the independent dance creatives and communities of east London.

Now we’ve joined music organisation UD to open The Talent House, a pioneering dance and music hub, to offer even more opportunities to young people, artists and our local communities.

Located at Sugar House Island in Stratford just south of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, The Talent House is here to provide east London communities with access to the benefits of dance; and allow under-supported dance creatives to connect with each other, be inspired, access the creative industries and find new audiences. 

The Talent House’s high-performance professional facilities include two state-of-the-art dance studios, a members co-working space, five music production/recording studios, a live room and two vocal booths, a large flexible rehearsal and events space and a tech lab for education and training. Spanning three floors housed in a historic warehouse with a modern extension, The Talent House is purpose-built to facilitate and encourage the passions and aspirations of dance and music artists, supporting young people and local communities on every step of their creative journey.

Driving & Parking:

  • Please note on-street parking is not possible on the Sugar House Island estate unless you are a blue badge holder, however the Talent House is well placed for car or taxi drop offs
  • Limited daytime underground parking on Cloud St, E15 2QS (a 2 minute walk away) can be accessed through the Sugar House Lane Estate Concierge. You are required to register and make payment for your parking session in advance by visiting the following website sugarisland.parkpcm.co.uk. Upon arrival please go into the Botanical Mews Concierge building, 7 Sugar House Lane, E15 2QS to ask for access to the car park. ***PLEASE NOTE access to the car park is limited after 7pm when the concierge closes, we do NOT recommend using this option if you intend to leave after 7pm***
  • Nearby On-Street Parking

Your Visit

Access & Accessibility:

  • Our office, co-working space and studios are located across three floors of a historic warehouse conversion. All lift accessible.
  • You are welcome to park for 20 mins for loading or unloading directly outside our front door. Want to park for longer? See above.
  • Accessible toilets are on each floor and baby changing facilities on the ground floor.
  • We have changing rooms on the ground floor and on the second floor.
  • Coming for a class? Great! Please make sure you have access to your booking confirmation so we can check you in and welcome you to the building.

Using the building:

We want everyone who enters the Talent House to feel confident, safe and secure.

  • Hand sanitiser is available upon entry to the Talent House.
  • All visitors must have booked their class, event, tour or meeting in advance to gain access to the building. Want to visit outside of these? We’d love to hear from you on office@eastlondondance.org.
  • Our building is ventilated using fresh, un-recycled air which is complemented in our studio spaces by heating and air conditioning units that maintain comfortable temperatures. We will increase natural ventilation wherever possible.
  • We have a rigorous daily cleaning system in our building. If you are concerned about cleanliness in the building, please do speak to our team – we’re here to help.
