Artist Development

Develop your creative practice with East London Dance and Rinova for Creative ReWork+ Workshop Days in April 2024 

East London Dance is teaming up with Rinova to provide two full day workshops of professional development for dance creatives.

Funded by the Mayor of London and led by artist Jenny Hayes, these FREE workshops will equip you with tools to support your artistic identity and introduce you to how to complete funding applications. 

All participants that meet the course eligibility will receive a non-accredited qualification provided by Creative ReWork + for Emerging and Established Practitioners:

Tuesday 9 April session – Non-Accredited Level 1 Performing Arts

Thursday 11 April session – Non-Accredited Level 2 Performing Arts

Both workshops will take place at the Talent House, 3 Sugar House Lane, London E15 2QS

Introduction to Your Artistic Identity (Tuesday 9 April, 9:30am-5pm)

This workshop will introduce you to: 

  • Writing about YOU and what YOU do artistically
  • Enhancing your social media presence
  • Creating your CV, Dossier or Showreel
  • Setting up as self-employed with HMRC and how to complete your self-assessment

Funding for Freelance Artists (Thursday 11 April, 9:30am-5pm)

This workshop will introduce you to: 

  • Best practice for funding your project
  • How funding works within arts
  • How to write a funding applications

Course Eligibility for both workshops ✅ 
– Age 19 years or over 
– Living in London 
– Unemployed or earning under £25,300.60 annual salary.  
– Not in full time education 

Please note, you will need to supply proof for age, address, right to work & proof of earnings on or prior to the course date.
