Youth Support Worker

As East London Dance starts its next pioneering chapter from a new home at the Talent House, the organisation is seeking to appoint the role of Youth Support Worker.

We are looking for a committed and experienced person to join East London Dance as Youth Support Worker. The post will provide support to the young people engaging in our activities, enabling them to overcome barriers they may face to participating and ensure they fulfil their potential.

As part of the East London Dance team, you will provide frontline support for young people taking part in our activities as well as support the coordination of the programme activity. We do not expect you to be a dance specialist, but expect you to attend activities and be comfortable to join in and deliver youth work sessions as required.

You will have a level 3 Youth Work qualification or equivalent and at least 3 years’ direct experience working directly with vulnerable young people, providing one-to-one mentoring.

  • Salary: £16,200 per annum (pro rata of £27,000 full time)
  • Working Hours: 3 days (22.5 hours) per week
  • Annual Leave: 25 days pro rata (15 days) April to March plus statutory holidays pro rata
