Job Opportunity - Youth Dance Producer

East London Dance is hiring Youth Dance Producer:

  • Salary: £28,000 – £31,000 per annum dependent on experience (pro rata) 
  • Basis of contract: Part Time Permanent (4 days / 30 hours a week)
  • Term time working hours for this role will include Wednesday and Thursday evenings (12-8pm). Outside of term time, house will revert to 10-6pm with additional evenings and weekends across the year as required for additional rehearsals, performances and holiday projects.

East London Dance (ELD) is committed to supporting and equipping young people to become creative leaders and a voice for social change. We offer a range of activities for that are designed to improve health and well-being, develop dance skills, build confidence and resilience, and provide clear pathways for progression into employment and/or training. Co-design of our programmes by the people whom they are for is at the core of our business plan and DNA.

Purpose of the post 

We are looking for a dynamic and self-led, producer to design and deliver our youth dance programme at the Talent House and reaching out into our east London communities, by working with young people aged 4-17 years (and with young adults with complex needs up to age 25 on specific projects) and creating professional and non-professional pathways.

You will have a track record designing and delivering projects and/or events for young people in the arts and culture sector. You will have the ability to manage multiple stakeholder relationships, to take initiative to deliver a programme, and experience in working with budgets.
