East London Dance and the London College of Fashion Arts Programme are delighted to offer students and emerging practitioners the opportunity to take part in the Creative Lab 2019.
Back for it’s third iteration, Creative Lab brings together a select group of costume designers, choreographers and creative technologists to investigate how physical computing, mixed and virtual reality and e-textiles can inform practice when combined with dance and choreography.
This 6 day intensive programme starts with presentations, workshops and experimentation in the Digital Learning Lab and Arcade East spaces at Mare Street. Participants can then form smaller groups to develop their ideas further with the help of our workshop leaders.
This call is open to UAL students and alumni from backgrounds in fashion and costume, media production and interactive design subjects. It is also open to emerging choreographers and technologists with an interest in exploring the possibilities of technology and collaborative working practices
“Creative Lab was a truly inspiring week, that has a huge influence on my future creative development. I’ve learned so many things in one week”. Creative Lab 2018 participant
The creative lab this year will be facilitated by creative dance artist and choreographer, Tim Casson alongside workshop leaders from London College of Fashion, Agnes Treplin ( MA Costume Design for Performance), Claire Christie (BA Costume for Performance) and Creative Technologist Mouhannad Al-Sayegh.
