An OUR HOUSE takeover by Miss Lulu and AfroQueens
OUR HOUSE is an East London Dance programme which hands over creative control of our programming to independent artists and collectives for a week at a time, to make the decisions within our artistic offer and curate activity at our home, the Talent House.

ABOUT A TASTE OF AFRICA
Pack your bags because The Talent House is about to become your passport to Africa! For one electrifying week, AfroQueens will be infusing our space with the soul of Africa. Prepare to be swept away by the moves, rhythms, flavours, and stories of the continent.
Whether you’re well versed in Bikutsi or don’t know your Azonto from your Amapiano this event is for you! Come and immerse yourself in the rich dance culture of Africa.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
- Dance (All week): Afro dance workshops from some of the best Afro dancers across the globe
- Conversations (Thursday): Engage in enlightening conversations and gain a deeper understanding of African cultures and traditions.
- Food (Friday): Indulge in the rich flavours of African cuisine. Trust us, your taste buds are in for a treat!
- Marketplace (Friday): Explore our bustling marketplace filled with unique products, crafts, and more.
- Battle (Saturday): Step into the arena and join the Afro & More All-Female battle.
HOW TO BOOK:
If you are planning to attend more than 3 paid sessions you are best to purchase the Multibuy pass.
Go to the Event Calendar, choose your first workshop or event by either purchasing that individual session for £5 or grabbing the £20 Multibuy pass (both options will take you through the registration process for the booking system*), then go back to the Event Calendar to book in any further sessions you wish to attend, if you have purchased the Multibuy ticket this will be at no extra cost.

- Bhenga/Amapiano with Esi.J, 7-8:30pm
- Afrohouse with Septzilla, 8:30-10pm
Wednesday 12 March:
- Absoulful open freestyle session with Abisola, 3-5pm
- Asorkpor Foundation with Rich Boy Hero, 5-6:30pm (live streamed into studio)
- Naija Fusion with DLonze, 7-8:30pm
- Afro in Heels with Patience J, 8:30-10pm
Thursday 13 March:
- Inner Activation Session with Sewita, 10am-12noon
- Panel Discussion and Q&A, 6-9pm
Friday 14 March:
- Battle Techniques Open Session with DLonze, 3-5pm
- Social with Food, Drinks, Marketplace, Games and Music, 5-9pm
Saturday 15 March:
- Afro & More All-Female Battle, 12noon-8pm
Sunday 16 March:
- Under 8s, Youth AfroDance Class with AfroQueens, 11am-12noon
- Afrohouse with Precious, 12:30-2pm
- Ages 8-14, Youth AfroDance Class with AfroQueens, 1-2pm
- Azonto with Miss Lulu, 2:15-3:45pm
- Ndombolo & AfroHouse with Rabba, 4-5:30pm
- Closing Jam with AfroQueens, 6-7:30pm
