Created by some of the most exciting up-and-coming dance artists working today, 1000 Pieces Puzzle is the culmination of an international exchange programme of the same name, showcasing a series of live dance collaborations and brand new dance films.
These scratch performances have been created by 30 artists from both the UK and Belgium during a 12-day period of working together in Brussels and London to explore technique, choreography and dance film whilst developing entrepreneurial and leadership skills.
With influences from Afrobeats, Dancehall, Krump, House, Hip Hop, Contemporary and more, this unique evening promises to be a vibrant and explosive showcase of some of the most expressive dance styles around.

Created in 2014 by dance backpacker Cindy Claes (ADAD Trailblazer 2013-14) 1000 Pieces Puzzle is the culmination of a unique professional development opportunity for dance artists offering two creative residencies in London and Brussels. 1000 Pieces Puzzle is presented by Cindy Claes Productions, Zinnema and East London Dance and supported by Erasmus+, Rich Mix, Scanners Inc, Foundation for FutureLondon and Arts Council England.
Cindy creates artistic earthquakes with her Dancehall, Krump, and Hip Hop Theatre Productions. Choreographer, Performer and Dance Story Teller, she builds unique international dance exchanges and educational leadership programs, raising awareness about social responsibility. Her international dance exchanges enable diverse voices to be heard, whilst nurturing leadership within varying street dance communities.
Brussels-based venue Zinnema is an experimental organisation where talent and values are challenged to evolve and inspire. It is a professional home for creative projects, and a platform for collaboration and artist development.
